Another jam-packed read! I enjoyed all the info here. Over tourism is a big issue. I think some extra research helps vacationers find gem destinations that aren't part of the normal go-to list.
I visited Santorini and Mykonos nearly 10 years ago and they already felt overtouristed then. On the other hand, I was in the south of Crete this summer and you could still find raw beauty, free sun beds, and near-deserted beaches within striking distance of major airport hubs. Let the masses keep Santorini 😎
Totally agree -there are so many places in Greece that still feel "off the beaten path". Some time ago I wrote about the Peloponnese, but I didn't know some areas of Crete were like that, too. Thanks for sharing!
